Middle Gate Students Honored

For Reflections Achievement

Middle Gate Elementary School students Yossi Kohrman-Glaser, Emily DeGirolamo, Brittany Watson, and Jacob Harper were honored at a commemorative banquet for placing at the state and national level for the national PTA-sponsored Reflections program on May 8 at the Hilton in Southbury.

This year’s theme, “I’m Really Happy When…,” could be reflected in student artwork, music or literary composition, photography and visual arts.

Emily, Brittany, and Jacob received state certificates and ribbons for their achievement.

For the second consecutive year, Yossi placed at the national level in music. He was one of only two Connecticut students to receive this honor. He received the Award of Excellence, which included a silver medallion and $200 check.

Brittany and Jacob recieved recognition for literary and photography, respectively.
