Resident Featured In WCSU’s ‘Seussical The Musical’

DANBURY — Theatre Arts at Western will present Seussical, the Musical by Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, Saturday and Sunday, May 14-15.

Performances will be at 4 pm on Saturday and 2 pm on Sunday. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 203-837-TIXX (8499) or www.wcsu.edu/tickets.

This fantastic, magical, musical extravaganza brings to life some of Dr Seuss’s favorite characters, including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bird, and Jojo, a little boy with a big imagination. The powers of friendship, love, and commitment are challenged and ultimately emerge triumphant in a story that is fun for all ages.

The show is being directed by Christina Kalafut of Stratford, produced by Shannon Stowe of Shelton, and includes among its featured performers Alex Saboe of Newtown.

Performances are at Berkshire Theatre, on the midtown/main campus of Western Connecticut State University at the intersection of Osborne Street and Fifth Ave. Parking is available in the lot next to the theater.
