Grand Reopening, Celebration Of The Season Slated At Sound
On Saturday, October 19, from 3 to 6 pm Sound — a center for meditation and spiritual enrichment in Hawleyville — will celebrate its grand reopening.
Rescheduled from December 15, 2012, Sound founder Jennifer Zulli said she is excited to have this grand reopening celebration to welcome the harvest season and to honor the Earth and spirit. The center is at 31 Hawleyville Road.
According to Ms Zulli, a new age artist and composer, teacher, resonance/energy healer, and numerologist, Sound is a holistic educational center that fosters the creative and expressive arts with spiritual awareness for conscious evolution.
The open house plans to include many festive activities aimed to celebrate creative and expressive arts. Also included on the menu for the afternoon is a variety of workshops and mini sessions for personal growth and transformation.
The festival-like atmosphere outside and inside the grounds of the Historic Hawleyville Wedding Chapel will also include a 3 pm concert under the tent with Music Together of Monroe and Newtown. The internationally known music program focuses on supporting a natural bonding experience through musical connection, she said.
Story Time Yoga and Family Yoga will follow, leading into a drum and rhythm circle for all. There will also be a performance and free mini workshop in the sacred art of bellydance, which helps to activate and balance vital creative energies and bring about a powerful synchronization and integration of body, mind and spirit.
The outdoor events will conclude with a vibrational sound meditation.
In addition, the open house will showcase the practitioners of The Wellness Center at Sound:
*Dr. Yvette Whitton a naturopathic oncologist will be giving a brief talk about “Bach’s Flower Remedies,” a system of 38 flower remedies, each prepared from the flowers of wild plants, trees, and bushes. The remedies work by treating the individual rather than the disease or its symptoms. She will have complimentary personal questionnaires and samples of the essences.
*Rachel Archaleus, artist, author, and psychic medium, will be offering aura portraits and reading.
*Ronna Brier, psychotherapist and certified hypnotherapist, will be speaking about healing through past life regression therapy.
*Sheila Wall, a certified mindfulness instructor, will be leading adult and teen meditations.
*Sound’s mindfulness for children instructor will be giving informational talks about the value of mindfulness in children as a healthy way to deal with anxiety and depression and to improve focus.
*Mini Bija healings, chakra balancing energy work, reiki sessions, and more will also be available.
Once a public school choir director and music teacher, Ms Zulli says the vision for the center and location came to her in a dream in 2010 while going through her own transformational and awakening period. The wedding chapel that was once home to Dr Josh Berry and Kathleen Riley, both highly regarded naturopathic physicians in town, was tastefully renovated by Jennifer’s husband John Zulli in September 2012.
“We wanted to respect the essence of the antique building while adding a world and artsy feel to it,” Ms Zulli said. “Sound’s mission is to hold the space for exploring and connecting to each other and our truest self. The sacred historic chapel has the most healing and magical energy, just by walking into to it people often say they feel like they are home.”
