Joshua Evans & Erin Lewis

A May 29 wedding is being planned for Erin Wheeler Lewis and Joshua Davis Evans.

Miss Lewis is the daughter of David and Cathy Lewis of Newtown and Deborah and Mark Richardson of Mascot, Va. (and formerly of Newtown). She is the granddaughter of the late William and Shirley Wheeler and the late Herbert and Eleanor Lewis, all of Newtown.

The bride-to-be is a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Medical System in Richmond, Va. She graduated from Newtown High School in 2000, and then went on to earn a bachelor’s in science at Virginia Tech and her bachelor of science in nursing from Salisbury University, in Maryland.

Mr Evans is the son of Dana and John Evans of Forrest, Va. He is the grandson of Betty Dupree of Lynchburg, Va., and the late William Dupree of Sunnyvale, Calif., and of John and Mary Evans of Harrisonburg, Va.

Mr Evans is a graduate student at VCU/Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He graduated from high school in 2001, earned a bachelor’s degree from The College of William & Mary, and is currently a PhD candidate in medical physics at MCV/VCU in Richmond.
