February Young Adult Programs At The Library
Bullet Journaling Basics will take place in the chbMAKERS’ Corner Monday, February 4, from 4 to 5 pm.
In Bullet Journaling Basics, teens can learn more about this creative and customizable journaling system, try out some supplies, and get some ideas. Those who already participate in bullet journaling are welcome, too, as it is always fun be inspired by others. It is available for grades 6 through 12, and registration is encouraged.
Later that week, the C.H. Booth Library will be hosting a Make a Valentine activity in the chbMAKERS’ Corner. Attendees can make one of the library’s pre-designed options or create one of their own. The activity runs from 3:30 to 5:30 pm on Thursday, February 7, and no registration is required.
Add a Monster Art Night will give students grades 6 through 12 the opportunity to take existing paintings and photos and modify them to have monsters or other unexpected personal touches. The program will be on Thursday, February 14, from 4 to 5 pm, and since space is limited, registration is required.
The C.H. Booth Library will also have an Intro to Babysitting class on Saturday, February 16, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm in the Gathering Room.
Participants will learn interviewing tips, communication skills, ages and stages of young babies and toddlers, safety and first aid tips, and feeding and caring for children including diaper changing. A simple test will be administered at the completion of the course and certificates will be distributed. Registration is required.
