Anderheggen Presented At Conference

MERRIMACK, N.H. — The National Guild of Hypnotists, the world’s largest professional organization for hypnotists and hypnotherapists, announced that Dr George C. Anderheggen of the Aspetuck-Newtown Counseling Center was a speaker and workshop presenter recently at the organization’s international convention in Nashua, N.H.

During the weekend more than 170 professionals presented 249 workshops and seminars on such topics as the new NGH client bill of rights, practice management, addictions, pediatrics, past life therapies, smoking cessation, weight management, and new developments in hypnotherapy.

Dr Anderheggen participated in the continuing education program in addition to being a speaker for the special interest group of clergy. He also held a workshop for interested members of NGH on new developments in hypnotherapy in which he taught how to combine hypno-diagnostics and energy therapy.

Celebrating its 50th year, the National Guild of Hypnotists is now the largest professional organization of its type with 7,000 members in 40 countries. It promotes hypnosis/hypnotherapy as a separate and distinct profession, while developing programs and techniques to enhance its recognition and acceptance, and providing a forum for the presentation of ideas, information, and research.

Special interest groups such as clergy, medical, marriage and family, and forensic hypnotherapists as well as the AFL-CIO-affiliated professional hypnotist union also held sessions during this annual event. The organization also provided information to the general public through their Hypnosis Today magazine and on the Internet at ngh.net.

Dr Anderheggen has moved his offices to the Bradford Green at 755 Main Street near the Monroe/Newtown line.
