Genealogy Meeting Set For Jan. 14
Family photo identification and restoration will be the topic of discussion at the Genealogy Club of Newtown meeting at the C.H. Booth Library on Wednesday, January 14, at 7 pm. The public is invited to attend.
Cathy Vanaria, president and co-owner of Connecticut Photographics, will discuss the identification and care of old photographs. Ms Vanaria also teaches photography courses at Western Connecticut State University and at the Wooster Community Art Center in Danbury. Her photography has been exhibited at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, Mass., the Silvermine Guild of Art in New Canaan, and the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art, Ridgefield.
Meetings of the genealogy club are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the C.H. Booth Library. Club members are from Newtown, Shelton, Brookfield, Danbury, Trumbull, Redding, Southbury and New Milford.
