Residents who may have missed any festivities that took place during the 300th celebratory year, or who just want to relive the fun-filled year, can view clips from many of the events that highlighted the year.
âThere is full coverage of the Newtown notables, the graveyard walk, and the introit featuring Billy Fellows,â said Ms Sorensen. The August 6 all-day celebration is covered, with the fireworks display creatively worked in throughout the DVD. The DVD is scored with music by the US Air Force Jazz Ensemble, which performed in town in honor of the tercentennial.
The DVD, created by Newtown High School seniors Matti Toikka and Mike Webb, is not for sale. Further copies may be available through the Newtown Historical Society at a later date.
