An Original Work At Downtown Cabaret: A Dramatic Search

BRIDGEPORT — Original Works Inc. is ready to share its newest original production, called Let’s Go! Performances are scheduled for the evenings of May 25-27 at Downtown Cabaret Theatre.

Let’s Go! is a dramatic story of one man’s search for his birth mother while engaging in a path of self-destruction. Shane and his girlfriend, Sandra, stumble their way from Bridgeport to Miami, heading toward a climatic revelation about the truth.

Written and directed by Donna Sue de Guzman and Reynaldo Valentin, the musical is directed by Donna Sue de Guzman and musically produced by Luther Blackwell, Jr.

Let’s Go! is a production of Original Works Inc, in collaboration with the Music and Arts Center for Humanity. Original Works Inc. is a nonprofit performing arts company serving youths and adults in the greater Bridgeport region. The company trains dedicated artists theater, music, dance and videography as they work with the artists to create, develop, produce and perform original productions.

Original Works Inc. has been recognized by the Connecticut Commission on the Arts as a Model After-School Program and recently performed Marginal Saints at the New York International Fringe Festival.

Performances of Let’s Go! will be Tuesday through Thursday, May 25-27. All shows will start promptly at 7:30 pm.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for ages 18 and under. All proceeds support the artistic activities of the dedicated young performers. Call 203-330-0762 for ticket reservations.
