Herbert P.       Ferris

Herbert P. Ferris, 89, husband of the late Dolores (Murphy) Ferris, formerly of The Boulevard, Newtown, died July 10, in St Vincent’s Hospital, Bridgeport.

He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., on May 8, 1913, son of the late Charles and Julia Ferris. He was a graduate of Colgate University, class of 1935.

During World War II Mr Ferris served as a 1st Lieutenant, Army Signal Corp, serving two tours of duty in the Pacific Theater.

Mr Ferris spent his work career as a officer of Chrysler Motor Car Company, rising to the position of vice president.

He is survived by two sons, Richard Ferris of Sarasota, Fla., and Roger Ferris of Weston, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
