Albert A. Pfannkuch
Albert A. Pfannkuch, 65, of Trumbull, died June 7 at Bridgeport Hospital. Mr Pfannkuch was born in Bridgeport and resided in Trumbull for the past 38 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Susan Soltesz Pfannkuch; one daughter, Kym Festa and her husband Stan of Newtown; three sons, Scott of Pinehurst, N.C., Sean and his wife Trina of Charlotte, N.C., and Albert and his wife Tricia of Westport; one grandson, Jack of Westport; three brothers, John and his wife Shirley of Atlanta, Ga., Bill and his wife Suzelle of Englewood, Fla., and Jim and his wife Connie of Lights House Point, Fla.; one aunt, several uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and retired from IBM after 28 years of service, most of which was in management positions. In 1990, he founded and was past president of Priority Mortgage Group, Inc of Stratford and Westport. He was a former member of the Trumbull Town Council and member of the Trumbull Republican Town Committee where he also served as finance chairman.
Mr Pfannkuch was also a Mason. He served on the Board of Directors of the Hillandale Country Club and the Trumbull High School Boosters Club. He was a former president of Trumbull Pop Warner Football Conference. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed visiting the casinos. He spent a great deal of time on the computer working on his and Sueâs family histories.
Funeral services were held in the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road, with the Rev Joseph Piccirillo officiating. Interment was at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association through the funeral director.
