The Sights & Sounds Of Africa, In Danbury

DANBURY — The public is invited to celebrate an evening of African culture through storytelling, drumming and dance with Sounds of Afrika, an African drum and dance troupe, on Saturday, May 5.

The cultural extravaganza will be the third annual fundraiser for Afrikan-American Cultural Awareness Association, Inc. scholarship fund. The program will take place at Rogers Park Middle School, 21 Memorial Drive in Danbury, and will begin at 6:30 pm.  Admission is $10 for adults, and $3 for children under 16 years of age.

A drum and dance workshop will be held on Sunday, May 6. The drum workshop will begin at 1 pm and the dance workshop will start at 2:30.
