Kite Flying Contest Is Sunday

The 18th Annual Kite Flying Contest sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department and The Newtown Bee is scheduled to begin at noon on Sunday, October 2, at The Ram Pasture between South Main Street and Elm Drive.

Entries are welcome for the most unusual kite, the best homemade kite, the highest-flying kite, the most colorful kite, the best kite flyer, the smallest kite that flies, the largest kite, and the longest tail.
