400 Years Of Germans In America
DANBURY â Discover the similarities among Albert Einstein, Wolfgang Peterson, Kirsten Dunst, and other German Americans when the German Studies Center of Western Connecticut State University continues its celebration of â400 Years of Germans in America.â
A film presentation and discussion about âSearching German Roots and Impact in New Yorkâ will begin at 7 pm on Wednesday, April 16, in Alumni Hall on the universityâs midtown campus, 181 White Street. Admission will be free and the public is invited.
Dr Heinrich Neumann, consul for press and public information of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, will lead a discussion about 400 years of Germans in America. As spokesman for Germanyâs Consulate General of New York and press officer of the German Embassyâs Department of Press and Public Information in New York, Dr Neumann has frequent contact with the American media.
