400 Years Of Germans In America

DANBURY — Discover the similarities among Albert Einstein, Wolfgang Peterson, Kirsten Dunst, and other German Americans when the German Studies Center of Western Connecticut State University continues its celebration of “400 Years of Germans in America.”

A film presentation and discussion about “Searching German Roots and Impact in New York” will begin at 7 pm on Wednesday, April 16, in Alumni Hall on the university’s midtown campus, 181 White Street. Admission will be free and the public is invited.

Dr Heinrich Neumann, consul for press and public information of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, will lead a discussion about 400 years of Germans in America. As spokesman for Germany’s Consulate General of New York and press officer of the German Embassy’s Department of Press and Public Information in New York, Dr Neumann has frequent contact with the American media.
