BOTSFORD DRIVE IN 5, JP MAGUIRE ASSOCIATES 3: Down by a run in the bottom of the sixth, Botsford rallied for three runs to win and take over first place in the Senior Division. Doug Bonjour worked out a walk to lead off the inning, stole second and moved over to third on a passed ball. With two outs, Greg Britton stroked a single to tie the game. Britton then stole second and third and scored on a passed ball. Ted Rocca, meanwhile, worked out a walk and scored on a double by Joe Gantert. Ryan Chapin also contributed at the plate with a fifth-inning single and RBI. Gantert pitched five strong innings, allowing just one hit and no runs while whiffing seven. For JP, Chris Evans pitched four terrific innings, allowing only one hit and one run, and helped himself with a run-scoring hit. Kevin Whipkey belted a long triple and Chris Marsden singled him home.

BOTSFORD DRIVE IN 8, EMMETT & GLANDER 7: Tyler Hull went 3-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, and a game-tying RBI in the seventh inning as Botsford rallied for the win. Jimmy Dietter doubled to lead off the 7th and Ryan Chapin sacrificed him over to third to set the stage for Hull’s hit. Chris Canfield drove in the game-winner with a long sacrifice fly, with plated Joe Gantert. Dan McIlrath was also strong at the plate with a double and two runs scored while Ted Rocca had a run-scoring single. For E&G, Sean Walsh had two hits and an RBI while Paul Hoover doubled and Forest Robertson, Colin Robertson, Mike Benzinger and Charlie Fulkerson each had a hit and a run.

BOTSFORD DRIVE IN 8, POLAND SPRINGS 4: Danny Jura pitched five strong innings, allowing only three runs and three hits as Botsford won again. Joe Gantert earned the save with four strikeouts in two innings of work. Greg Britton had two hits and two runs scored while Chris Canfield drove in two with a hit and sacrifice fly. Ted Rocca tripled in a run as Gantert, Jura, Doug Bonjour and Dan McIlrath all had hits. For Poland Springs, Tim LaPak, Jeff LaFlamme, Tommy Ermini and James Terhaar each had a hit.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

JURMAN-METRICS 12, LEXINGTON GARDENS 3: William Spencer belted a grand slam homer in the second inning to cap an eight-run outburst and lead Jurman-Metrics to the win. Eric Jurman was strong on D while Spencer and Tom Selleck combined on the mound for 12 strikeouts. For Lexington, Pat Daly went 2-for-3 and Owen Kessler rapped out a triple. Tony Gallucci, Patrick Daly and Jeff Peterson shared the pitching duties.

BRAUTIGAM LAND SURVEYORS 12, BERLINER-GELFANI 11: Mike Miller and Jeremy Currier had key hits to lead Brautigam to the win. Robert DeFilippe pitched well and Bobby Grauer threw out two runners trying to score. For Berliner, David Berliner and Cory Carlin doubled and Mike Ferrara had two great at bats. David Villareal pitched very well.

BERLINER-GELFANI 11, LEXINGTON GARDENS 7: Nathaniel Basch-Gould and Bob Griesse rapped back-to-back singles to key a four-run rally in the eighth inning and lead Berliner to the win. David Berliner was 3-for-4 on the day and had a solid defensive day at second base. Jackson Blawie caught all eight innings and did a fine job. Daniel Murdoch and Mike Ferraro both made spectacular plays. For Lexington, Owen Kessler tripled while Nick Pollard and Patrick Daly powered the defense.

BERLINER-GELFANI 9, LEXINGTON GARDENS 7: Jim Wilkins and Alex Hennessey had key hits to spark Berliner to the win. Croy Carlin pitched well, walking only two batters, and closed out the sixth with three strikeouts. For Lexington, Tony Gallucci tripled and Pat Daly hit the ball hard. Greg Gordon potched well and Joe Brewer made an outstanding grab at first base.

JURMAN-METRICS 2, NEWTOWN CAR WASH 0: Brendan Hintzen rapped the game-winning hit, plating Scott Perry of Jurman-Metrics. Tom Selleck and Chris Elias made solid plays in the field while William Spencer and Robert Simone combined on the shutout with 11 strikeouts. For the Car Wash, Michael Parrilla had three hits while Ricky Andrews and Brian Pennarola had solid games in the field.

NEWTOWN CAR WASH 14, JURMAN-METRICS 3: Michael Parrilla, Marc Dolerty, Kevin Jurasek and Gregory Kraushaar combined for eight hits to lead the Car Wash. For Jurman-Metrics, Carlos Fuentes blasted a three-run homer.

JURMAN-METRICS 15, BRAUTIGAM LAND SURVEYORS 11: Tom Selleck and Benjamin Krinke (double) each had two hits and Carlos Fuentes hit a three-run double in the sixth inning to lead Jurman-Metrics to the win. Scott Perry, Robert Simone and Chris Elias also had key hits. Chris Reid pitched four solid innings, striking out six batters. For Brautigam, Bobby Grauer doubled and tripled while Stefan Poulin singled and tripled to lead the offense. Michael Miller, Sean Myslewski and Robert DeFilippe shared the pitching duties.

ATTORNEY NATALIA KERLER 19, CLEARHART CONSTRUCTION 0: James Wiedemann singled, doubled and tripled to lead Attorney Kerler to the win. Colin Cieniawa doubled and tripled and three a perfect inning on the mound, as well. Dylan DeSimone also hit the ball well while Emil Walston and Billy Tierno contributed on defense. Jim Leebaert pitched well. For Clearhart, Jonathan Hartlett, Chris Gindraux, and Steve Hartlett all played well.

ATTORNEY NATALIA KERLER 18, CLEARHART CONSTRUCTION 0: Colin Cieniawa doubled and tripled, Chris Giorno tripled and Nick Smith homered to power Attorney Kerler to another win. Dan Fiscella and Scudder Baggett shared the shutout on the mound while Patrick Honan and Dylan DeSimone played well in the field. For Clearhart, Brian Stickles, Chris Gindraux and Zach Leighton all played well.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

GRAHAM PAINTING 7, FIRESIDE 1: Ryan McGrath was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI while Jake Putnick tripled and Stephen Moulthrop doubled to lead Graham. Putnicki, McGrath and Seth Hull all combined on the mound for the win. For the Fireside, Tom Santella, Bryan Fogelstrom, Scott Suhoza and Brian Shimko had solid hits. Despite being blinding by sun, catcher Shane Huebner made a diving catch of a pop fly in front of the plate to spark the defense.

NORTH ATLANTIC CONSTRUCTION 6, GRAHAM PAINTING 5: Gary Andrews cranked a two-run homer over the left centerfield wall while David Modzelewski, Sean Ryan, Mike Conroy, Mike Barbour and Scott Shannon all had hits to lead the NAC attack. Sean Ryan and Ben Striano pitched well as Modzelewski closed out the game on nine pitched in the sixth inning. For Graham, Matt Berquist drove in a pair of runs while Ryan McGrath, Max Barrett and Stephen Moulthrop each had one RBI. Seth Hull pitched two scoreless innings while Cody Shpunt, Kevin Silber and Tucker Kass led the D.

UNION SAVINGS BANK 9, A&D SPORTS 5: Tom Hutchison, Max Rojo and Jon Larson had two hits apiece to power Union Savings. Tom Wilson and Drew Adamek pitched well. For A&D, Stephen Kern and Alex Meisel pitched goo dgames as Josh Tenenbaum banged out a pair of hits.

UNION SAVINGS BANK 5, NEWTOWN HARDWARE 1: Joe Rahtelli had three hits, including a homer, and Jon Larson chipped in with two hits to lead Union Savings. Brian Poelti and Drew Adamek made outstanding catches in the field. For Newtown Hardware, Joe Devellis hit the ball hard and Brian Duffy pitched two strong innings.

UNION SAVINGS 7, A&D SPORTS 3: Mike Hennessey and Joe Rahtelli had three hits apiece to power Union Savings to the win. Jon Larson and Max Rojo pitched well. For A&D, Mike Murphy, Aron Fay, and Joe Bowen had key hits while Stephen Kean and Bowen pitched a solid game.

NORTH ATLANTIC CONSTRUCTION 9, UNION SAVINGS 8: Ben Striano and RJ Marus led the offense while Sean Ryan and David Modzelewski sharing the pitching duties to lead North Atlantic to the win. Mike Conroy played well in the field. For Union Savings, Max Rojo and Tom Wilson hit the ball hard while Jonathan Larsen and Nick Sando pitched well.

NORTH ATLANTIC CONSTRUCTION 8, FIRESIDE INN 4: Ben Striano and Brian Cullinan hit the ball well, Scott Shannon and TJ Mueller had great defensive games, and Mike Barbour and Brian Conroy pitched well to lead North Atlantic to the win. For the Fireside, Tommy Santella and Ryan Martin were strong at the plate as Brian Fogelstrom and Scott Suhoza had fine pitching performances.

AAA

WALKER INDUSTRIAL 8, INTUITIVE COMPUTERS 7: Derek Mayo, Aaron Lengel and Walter Murphy had key hits to lead Walker to the win. Chris Leibold, Alex Grier and Dan Rahmlov played well in the field as Matt Saxonmeyer, Andrew Kirnir, Chuck Brooks and Ryan Boucher all took turns on the mound as Walker rallied from a 7-3 deficit in the final inning. For Intuitive, Patrick McNulty, Sean Matschke and Chris Salvatore had key hits. Kurtis Liska pitched well.

MINORS

TAUNTON PRESS 6, NEWTOWN LIMOUSINE 5: Craig Schreckenghaust banged out three hits and Christopher Page belted a two-run double to lead Taunton Press to the win. Kevin Cameron pitched well and Dabe Kopyscinski made a fine play at third base. For Newtown Limo, Mike Poelti had two hits and Jeff Selezan had a double. Kurt Nacewicz and Zach Huggins played well in the field.

INTUITIVE COMPUTERS 12, WILLIAM PITT REAL ESTATE 8: Adam Nanavaty banged out three hits and Chris Salvatore doubled to lead Intuitive. Matthew Colletti and Adam Cantor played well. For William Pitt, Tyler Tarantino clubbed a home run and Blake Barreto doubled. Evan Gregoire sparked the defense with an unassisted double play and Zach Ouellette also played well.

BASE TECHNOLOGIES 9, SUGAR HILL AUTO BODY 5: Ian Mason, Daniel Spencer and Nick Saviano had three hits apiece to life Base to the win. Mike Notaro had a good game and Brian Reszoly not only drove in three runs, but made an amazing, leaping catch of a line drive at second base to end a rally. For Sugar Hill, Robert Brautigam had three hits and two RBI while Tommy Merrifield pitched a good game.

DR HENRY GELLERT 17, WISVEST 8: Colin Nanavaty and TJ Faeth led the offense while Ian Archer and Joey Christiano paced the defense to lead Dr Gellert to the win. For Wisvest, Mike Kirck and Ryan Cahalane sparked the defense with a triple play. Daniel O’Connor had three hits and Nicky Trattori had two.

CONNECTICUT EQUINE 10, B&K SEPTIC 10: Kyle Kronberg and Matt Beir led Connecticut Equine while Ryan Daly, Dan Tibolla, Shane Casey and Alex Kron led B&K.

CONNECTICUT PAIN CARE 13, B&K SEPTIC 7: Ed White, Herloff Sorenson, Ben Miles and Kevin Leibold led CPC to the win while Matt Hamilton (triple), Dan Tibolla, and Connor Stauffer paced B&K.

AUTOMATED SECURITY 12, DENTAL ASSOCIATES 6: Ryan Pendergist had four hits and one RBI and Jack List had two RBI to lead Automated Security to the win. John Aminti played two fine innings behing the plate while Kyle McNamare made two solid catches in the field. For Dental Associates, Conor Kovatch, Brian Carroll, Kevin Bonacci and Pete Wlasuk had good games.

WISVEST 8, CONEHEADS 8: Nick Trattori, Daniel O’Connor, William Coville led Wisvest while, for the Coneheads, Cameron Gehrman and Kyle Kimball had key hits and John Sapienza and Zach Rahmlow played well in the field.

CURTIS & CRANDON 11, DHCA 9: Ben Federman and Trevor Todd each scored twice to lead Curtis & Crandon to the win. Matthew Lewin and Daniel O’Connor were strong in the field. For DHCA, Bryan Kuruc, Kevin McCarthy and Ryan Ames all played well.

NICK’S RESTAURANT 10, SUGAR HILL AUTO BODY 4: Jason Kostecki went 4-for-4 with two RBI and Ricky Gallucci banged a double to lead Nick’s to the win. Mitchell Blomberg pitched a no-hit inning, whiffing three batters. For Sugar Hill, Rob Brautigam had three RBI and Rob O’Donnell hit the ball hard. Andrew Meisel and Ryan Diluoffo played well.

ASSOCIATED REFUSE 12, CURTIS & CRANDON 10: Daniel Beck, and Tucker Schmidt led Associated while Cole Dupuy (three doubles), Brian Cawley, Ryan Zitney, Matthew Lewin and Anthony Lucia paced C&C.

J&J POOL 9, SUGAR HILL AUTO BODY 6: Jimmy Duch, Timmy LaCouture, Anthony Corleto and Brendan Deveney played well for J&J while Justin Craparo (two hits), RJ Swift, and Ryan Birch led Sugar Hill.

J&J POOL 9, NEWTOWN BEE 1: James Maher was 3-for-3 and Anthony Csizmadia collected two hits to lead J&J to the win. Dan Coely and Aaron Caldwell both played well. For the Bee, David Hutchison, Josh Baron, CJ Dietrick and Jamie Walsh all had good games.

NEWTOWN LIMOUSINE 12, NICK’S RESTAURANT 7: JR Shine doubled with the bases loaded to put Newtown Limo ahead and lead the team to victory. Kurt Nacewicz had four hits and Matt Mascolo had two. Mike Poelti played well in the field. For Nick’s, Ben Stokes and Dakota Low had three hits apiece. Joe Cappiello made a great grab in the field and Matt Nagel pitched well.

NEWTOWN LIMOUSINE 8, DENTAL ASSOCIATES 7: Jeff Selezan, Matt Siebert and Julian Wahlberg led Newtown Limo while Jim Poe (two singles and a double) and Mike McCarthy led Dental Associates.

BOB TENDLER REAL ESTATE 8, DHCA 8: Harrison Gillis, Sean Gill, Daniel Greenwood and Spencer David paced Tendler while Bryan Kuruc, CJ Portolese, Zach Bryan and Gary Poe led DHCA.

ASSOCIATED REFUSE 12, DHCA 6: Kyle Droniak, John Daniel Knapp, Kevin Braun and Joe Fedak paced Associated Refuse to the win as Dylan Huebner, Zach Bryan, Gary Poe and Nicholas Nazer powered DHCA.

TAUNTON PRESS 8, BASE TECHNOLOGIES 8: Ralph Sergiovanni had three hits (including a homer) and Kevin Canavan had two hits to lead Taunton. Craig Schreckenghaust and John Savarese both pitched well. For Base, Nick Saviano had three RBI and Brian Reszoly had four hits (including a double) to lead the way. Ian Mason chipped in with three hits while Patrick Stein had a good game in the field.

TAUNTON PRESS 10, SUGAR HILL AUTO BODY 4: Keith Hoffman, David Kopyscinski and Garrett Uhde led the offense and Taunton Press to the win. Zach Gordon had a solid inning on the mound. For Sugar Hill, Ryan Birch, David Bray, and Robert Brautigam all played well.

SUBWAY versus PIZZA PALACE: Danny White, Brendan D’Angelis, Trey Trudell (three unassisted force outs) and Luke Shearin led Subway while Dan Aurelia, William Arndt, Ian McWilliams and Michael Greenwood all led the Pizza Palace.

FAMILY HEALTH CARE versus DANZIGER HOMES: Richard Andreotta (three RBI), Ketih Reszoly (RBI), Stephen Clark and Tyler Reszoly played well for Family Health while Mike Ruddy, Will Northrop, JP Stanton and Jonathan Smolen led Danziger.

WENTWORTH LABS versus KORTH & SHANAHAN: Johnny Wlasuk, Evelyn Fahey, Evan Alpert and Trye Vacovsky led Wentworth as Conor Deveney, Steven Zvon, Mike Hubbard and Brandon Body paced Korth & Shanahan.

NEWTOWN INSURANCE versus AMARAL MOTORS: Christian Gregoire, Kyle McCarthy, Garrett Baker, and Josh Zimmerman led Newtown Insurance as Richard Redmond, Neil Berthier, Daniel Cragin, and Chris Giglio played well for Amaral.

CONNECTICUT FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC versus WENTWORTH LABS: Mark Malia (double), Ryan Schmidt (homer, two singles)), Sean Maher and Ari Rosen had solid games for CFC while Austin Cirella, Evelyn Fahey, James Truckle and Trey Vacovsky had fine performances for Wentworth.

NEWTOWN INSURANCE versus TRENDSETTERS INTERNATIONAL: Robert Frangione, James Cummings, Garrett Quinn and Lewis Thompson led Newtown Insurance as good games from Alex Neufeld, Julian Krinke, Michael Herring (double play) and Matt Williams powered Trendsetters.
