A Barn Full

Of Artisans

Stacey Olszewski, the owner of Old Green Barn Crafts, is planning for the 2nd Annual “A Holiday Gathering.”

This year’s event will move to The Roadside Farm Barn, behind The Budd House at 50 Main Street in Newtown (opposite Edmond Town Hall).

More than two dozen area crafters are expected to participate including a number who were in last year’s inaugural event (presented in Mrs Olszewski’s home in Sandy Hook). Among those returning are folk artist Teresa Hicks, folk art dollmaker Teresa Lefevre; Den Leonard of Penn Woods Pottery/Redware; Pat Martin of Newtown with whimsical items; Cheri Fickett and Clare Yacashin of Newtown, with handwoven shawls; Mike Jepsen Metal Sculpture & Functionals, with items for the garden and home.

Also participating will be Lisa Agee of Goatboy Soaps and Lotions; Chris Raissis of the Painted Pony/Folk Art; and Cris Fadus of Newtown, offering Emilia’s Specialty Sauces.

New participants include Des Mon Jardin, pressed flower botanicals; Lorraine Rossel, who uses vintage embroidery and turns it into feather pillows; Robert Borden, with baskets made from cypress trees; Neal Blodgett, wooden hand carved roosters and swans; and Donne Pazze, who does hand hooked rugs and painted items.

Mrs Olszewski will also have a booth of her work – hand painted containers and bottles in French and country folk art styles.

For additional information call Mrs Olszewski at 270-9461.
