NAMI Group Hosts Counseling Expert
Fairfield â Cornelia Luzzi, LMFT, clinical coordinator at Fairfield Counseling Services, will be the presenter at the First Wednesday of the Month Speaker Meeting held by NAMI Fairfield on April 2, from 7:30 to 9 pm, in the Eliot Library, First Church Congregational.
NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Its goals are to support those living with mental illness and their loved ones, to provide educational programs to the community that foster understanding and healthy living, and to provide advocacy.
Fairfield Counseling Services is a private nonprofit agency that has provided mental health services in Fairfield for more than 30 years. Ms Cornelia will speak about accessing appropriate treatment based upon the presenting problem, age of the person, primary symptoms, degree of debilitation, etc.
There will also be an opportunity to discuss the impact of one family memberâs symptoms on the entire family system.
