Women’s Center Volunteer Program Open House

DANBURY — The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury will be hosting three informational programs at the agency’s 2 West Street location. Volunteer Coordinator Chrissy Deep will facilitate the open house events, during which she will explain the many possibilities of becoming part of the Women’s Center’s Volunteer Force.

A daytime session will be held Monday, September 18, at 10 am, and evening sessions will begin at 6 pm on Wednesday, August 30, and Monday, September 21; and a daytime session will be held on Monday, September 18, at 10 am.

An overview of the center’s goal to end sexual and domestic violence will be discussed, along with programs, services, and volunteer opportunities. Call Chrissy Deep at 731-5200, extension 202, for more info and to register.

The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury provides free and confidential services to prevent or lessen the trauma associated with domestic violence, sexual assault and other major life transitions to thousands of women, children, and men annually. The programs of the Women’s Center are supported by state and local government, area United Way agencies, and the people and businesses in the communities the Women’s Center serves including Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, Kent, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, Warren, and Washington.
