Learning Center Open House

Homeschooled students at the Progressive Learning Center in Monroe are preparing for their first open houses to be held April 2 and 6.

Progressive Learning Center was formerly known as the Newtown Progressive School and is located at 877 Main Street, Monroe – just over the Newtown line.

Students come from Newtown , Southbury, Bridgewater and Stratford.

Director Kathleen A. Green describes the facility as a home-based education resource center – the only one of its kind in the state – offering supplemental academic programs for homeschooled students, tutoring, and summer performing arts programs.
