John Edward Smolinski

Beloved Brother And Uncle

John Edward Smolinski died, August 2. He was 33 years old and lived in Oxford.

Mr Smolinski graduated in 1990 from Newtown High School and later graduated from the Porter and Chester Institute with his father. He pursued a career in computer electronics and was a computer genius.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Jean Bradley of Newtown; his father, Edward J. Smolinski, Sr, of Oxford; his twin brother, Edward J. Smolinski, Jr, and wife, Angela, and their three children Jesse, Aaryn, and Alixandra of Newtown. He also leaves behind two older sisters, Shari Burton of Newtown and Christine Bailey of Danbury, as well as Shari’s husband, Michael, and their two children Kelly and Michael. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive him.

He loved to play billiards. In 2000 and 2003, he participated in the APA National Championship in Las Vegas. Mr Smolinski spent much of his free time with his nieces and nephews. He was also a “big brother” to Seth Bailey of Brookfield. He enjoyed the outdoors, mountain biking, and kayaking. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service was held August 8 at the Walnut Hill Community Church in Bethel.

The Bethel Funeral Home in Bethel was in charge of arrangements.
