Beverly F. Soderberg-Cassin, 74, beloved wife of Richard, died April 16 at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden. She was born on July 7, 1931, in Bridgeport, a daughter of Arthur Grover Soderberg and Daisy Mae Miller.
Besides her husband she leaves two sisters, Gloria Aubin of Newtown and Dale Schremmer and her husband, Lawrence, of Shelton; a son, Robin âRobâ Cassin and his wife, Theresa, of Meriden; a daughter, Marlene Wall and her husband, Edward, of Southbury; she also leaves 12 grandchildren, Richard, Ronald, Jason, Renee, Robert, Riley, and Russell Cassin, Adam, Ryan, Serena, and Evan Wall and James Brown; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Wall, John and Makenzie Brown; two brothers-in-law, Gerald Cassin and his wife, Nancy, of Florida, and Ronald Cassin and his wife, Helen, of South Carolina. Many nieces and nephews also survive her. Mrs Soderberg-Cassin was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen (Dawn) Brown; and a brother, Arthur Soderberg.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was an aide for the Wallingford school district. She had a great love of children and was involved in many youth activities through the years, which included Barnum festival clowns, the Shelton PTA, and the BMX races at Falcon Field. Mrs Soderberg-Cassin was also very involved in all of her grandchildrenâs sports activities and was their greatest fan. She truly was a wonderful woman and will greatly be missed.
Funeral services were held April 20 at the funeral home. Burial followed at St Peterâs Cemetery in Derby.
The Szymaszek-Taylor Funeral Home, 189 East Main Street in Meriden was entrusted with the arrangements.
