PLEASE NOTE: Due to Newtown Congregational Church losing power during Tuesday's storm, and being closed for the past few days, this concert has been moved to Masuk High School, as indicated in the post below.

MONROE - Stacie Morgain Lewis, a Broadway actress and local resident, will perform a benefit concert for Sandy Hook Promise on Saturday, May 19, at 1:30 pm, in the auditorium of Masuk High School, 1014 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe.

Lewis, who has played Glinda in Wicked, will perform songs from her new children's album, Harmonize. The concert will take place in the sanctuary of the church, 14 West Street.

Lewis will be joined by Ben Cohn, the current conductor of Broadway's Dear Evan Hansen. In addition, members of Broadway Inspirational Voices, a diverse choir of Broadway artists, will take part in the family friendly concert.

Lewis is a teacher, arts advocate, co-writer of the children's album, Harmonize, and creator of Harmonize Kidz, an arts enrichment program that uses her music to teach social and emotional learning to elementary students. The curriculum and corresponding songs are currently being taught and used, building community and changing lives in elementary classrooms in New York City and New Jersey.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children, and are available online at eventbrite.com. Tickets are tax deductible. Tickets can also be purchased at the door or reserved by calling the church office at 203-426-9024.

All ages are welcome. A Qandamp;A with the performers will follow the performance. Harmonize CDs will also be available for purchase.

Ben Cohn, whose arrangements have been heard on television, albums, concerts, theme parks and cruise lines, will accompany Ms Lewis at Masuk High School.
