Billie Sue Abbott

Billie Sue Abbot, 70, of Riverside Road, Sandy Hook, died July 26 in St Vincent’s Hospital, Bridgeport.

She was born in Texas, January 17, 1931, daughter of the late Francis and Jewel Appling. For many years she was employed by the State of Texas as an aide for the Department of Mental Retardation, San Antonio. She has been a resident of Sandy Hook the past three years.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy J. Francesco of Newtown; and two granddaughters, Stephanie Yvonne and Kimberly Ann Francesco of Newtown.

Funeral services were held July 28 at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Cremation followed.
