Goodwill Industries Needs Donations

BRIDGEPORT — Goodwill Industries of Western Connecticut needs donations of clothing, furniture and household items in good condition to sell in its Goodwill stores throughout western Connecticut.

Donors may drop off items at local Goodwill stores and attended donation centers. Goodwill provides receipts for tax purposes.

Goodwill Industries is a non-profit provider of vocational services for individuals with disabilities and special needs. Goodwill derives over sixty percent of its operating revenue from the sale of donated goods in its retail stores. This revenue translates into programs that enable Goodwill program participants to find jobs that take them off welfare roles and put them on payrolls.
