Leonard E. Cagginello

Leonard Edward Cagginello, 54, of Bridgeport, died April 10 in Bridgeport Hospital following a long illness.

He is survived by a sister, Donna Mellen and her husband, D.J., of Newtown.

Born on May 7, 1946, in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Andrew Cagginello and June (Moran) Cagginello Krattenmaker. Mr Cagginello was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and worked as a banker for Citytrust Bank for over 30 years before working as a loan officer for the Stamford Municipal Credit Union for one year until the time of his illness.

He is also survived by his other devoted sisters, Rose Marie Moody and her husband, John, of Bridgeport, and Linda Oppendisano and her husband, Gary, of Trumbull; four nephews, Gary Oppedisano and his wife, Alyssa, of Trumbull, Paul Oppedisano of Trumbull, and Nicholas and Joseph Feola of Newtown.

Funeral services will take place from the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111), Monroe, on Saturday, April 14, at 8 am. A Christian Blessing will be given in St Ambrose Church, 1596 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, at 9 am. Interment will be in St Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Friday, April 13, from 4 to 8 pm.
