WATERBURY — Young People’s Theatre proudly announces the opening of its 43rd season, which will begin with a presentation of Mozart, Monsters & Matisse on Saturday, January 22. A performance will be presented at 3 pm at Kennedy High School auditorium, on Highland Avenue.

Tickets will be sold at the door. Seats are $7 each.

Mozart, Monsters & Matisse, a Jim West and TheatreWorks/USA production inspired by the music of Mozart, is a multi-media event featuring a fanciful underwater story in the style of a Matisse painting, with giant, colorful, non-scary monsters.

Later this season, Young People’s Theatre will present Tom Sawyer (February 12) and Pippi Longstocking (March 4). All shows will be at Kennedy High School at 3 pm.

Series tickets are available for $15.

Young People’s Theatre is non-profit and all volunteer. Its mission is to bring high-quality, professional and affordably-priced theatre to the area. For more information, contact Julie Calkins at 262-1086.
