Another Successful Coffee Break
Another Successful Coffee Break
To the Editor,
On behalf of the Newtown Girl Scouts, we wish to thank everyone that helped make our Labor Day Coffee Break such a success. This service project helps our girls keep in touch with the community atmosphere that is so apparent here in Newtown.
This year marks the 31st anniversary that the Coffee Break has been held at Exit 10. This fine Newtown tradition started with the Jaycees back in the 60s and continues today thanks to the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of Newtown, along with their dedicated leaders, parents, and local sponsors.
We, the Girl Scouts of Newtown, wish to thank the following companies and sponsors for their continued participation and support, which make the âCoffee Breakâ such a worthwhile stop for the weary traveler during the long holiday weekend.
Jim Edwards, Mark Petrino-Shell gas station, Blue Colony Diner, William Trudeau, Jr, Fred Pendergast, Sr, Newtown Stop & Shop, Newtown Dunkinâ Donuts, Newtown Town Services, Kevin Miller, the Dalton Family, the Hemingway Family, Newtown Highway Department, Newtown Park & Rec, Bob Tendler Realty, Bullard-Havens Tech, Subway of Newtown, the Crevier Family, the Nordstrom Family, Mottâs Corporation, Donut Inn â Monroe, and Melvin Signs.
We would also like to thank the committee in making this yearâs coffee break go so smoothly: Norma Hays, Sue Fiorey, Cathy Robinson, Patty Dubois, Adell Mastrocinque, Lynn-Mary Dillon.
Thanks to all
Anne Dalton and Lilian Nordstrom
