Police said they received a report that multiple youths were loitering at about 11:10 pm January 27 in a rear parking lot at Rocky Glen Mill, an office building at 75 Glen Road in Sandy Hook, so they went there to investigate.
Police said they observed that Jordan Rancourt, 18, of 59 Scudder Road possessed two unopened cases of beer and two partially empty bottles of beer in his 2002 GMC pickup truck.
Police issued Rancourt a written warning for possession of alcohol by a minor in a motor vehicle. Police said Rancourtâs actions also will be the subject of state Department of Motor Vehicles hearing.
Six Offenses
Police report that on February 1, they stopped motorist Beverly Burgos, 28, of Danbury on Route 34 because she had no front marker plate on the vehicle which she was driving.
After investigating, police charged Burgos with failure to display a marker plate, driving an unregistered vehicle, misuse of a marker plate, driving without automotive insurance, driving while under suspension, and possession of less than four ounces of marijuana.
After arrest processing, police released Burgos on $100 bail for a February 16 court appearance.
SUV Vs Deer
Motorist Suzanne Letso, 48, of 93 Poverty Hollow Road, who was driving a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee northward on Hattertown Road about 7 pm February 1, collided with a deer that had entered the roadway, police report. Letso was not injured and no enforcement action was taken, police said.
