Resident Applies For Ski Course On Lake Zoar; July 23 DEEP Info Session Scheduled
A seasonal waterski course may soon appear on Lake Zoar annually.
Bridge End Farm Lane resident Daniel O’Donnell, representing Lake Zoar Slalom Club, seeks authorization from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) to place a marked waterski course along the lake shore from May 1 to October 31 each year.
DEEP will hold a public information session on Tuesday, July 23, from 6 to 8 pm, in the Newtown Municipal Center Council Chamber, 3 Primrose Street within Fairfield Hills.
According to a DEEP release, all interested persons are invited to attend this public meeting and speak with the applicant and DEEP officials and present their views concerning the proposed slalom course. Interested parties may also express their views in writing no later than August 1. Comments should be sent to R.
