A Grateful Garden Club

To the Editor:

The Garden Club of Newtown truly enjoyed being in the 40th Labor Day parade. It would not have been possible without the help and support of Betty Lou & Jim Osbore, Jim Crick and Frank Lapack, Harry and Kristie Holland (from the Jungle Garden Center, Bethel) for all the fabulous plants, benches and arbor. Our thanks to Mona Steele and her committee plus all the members that participated in making it such a special day.

We would also like to thank the parade committee especially for bringing the Mount Rushmore, 50th Anniversary Pearl Harbor, and the 3rd National Flag. What a treat!
