Star Spangled Salute: A Veterans Day Special Event

DANBURY — The Community Service Club of New Fairfield is hosting a special event to support and honor the men and women in the military past and present.

“The Star Spangled Salute” will take palace on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, at Matrix Conference Center, 39 Old Ridgebury Road in Danbury. The event will begin with a reception at 7 pm, followed by dinner, dancing, raffles, and entertainment until 11.

Tickets are $60 per person.

Co-Chairs Chrissy Deep and Roseanne Galante are excited, they say, to be able to provide a way for everyone to support the troops.

Among the beneficiaries of the Veterans Day event will be the Wounded Warrior Project, which assists injured warriors of Iraq and Afghanistan; the New Fairfield Veterans Association, which aids local servicemen and veterans through programs including support for Castle Point Veterans Hospital and by sending care packages to deployed members of the armed forces. In addition, the Community Service Club of New Fairfield, a nonprofit organization that raises money to the community through projects like Kids Dress for Success and Amber Alert, will also receive partial proceeds from “The Star Spangled Salute.”

To reserve a ticket, call 845-304-8257 or send e-mail starspangledsalute@gmail.com.

For more information call Ms Deep at 203-746-2239

In addition to the gala event on November 11, the club will be launching a Flags of Honor Campaign to recognize servicemen and servicewomen. Proceeds from both projects will go to the Wounded Warrior Project, the New Fairfield Veterans Association, and other worthwhile projects of the New Fairfield Community Service Club.

Additional information about this project and the club is available online at www.CSCofNewFairfield.com.
