Chamber Music On Main Street

DANBURY — The Danbury Music Centre will host a performance of chamber music by the Danbury Chamber Orchestra. It will take place on Sunday, February 6, at 3 pm, in the Marian Anderson Recital Hall at Danbury Music Centre, 256 Main Street.

Charles Emerich will conduct the Chamber Orchestra in a seldom-heard performance of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cantata No. 51, “Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen.” Cheryl Hill, a soprano and Danbury resident, will be the featured soloist. Phil Pitner, a trumpeter from Bethel, will perform the obligato part on a piccolo trumpet.

Mr Emerich will also conduct the Chamber Orchestra in the well-known Symphony No. 40 in G minor by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
