Mary Frances Hanrahan

Mary Frances “Frankie” Hanrahan, 80, of Venice, Fla., and formerly of Newtown, died June 6, in Easton, Md.  She was born February 23, 1933, in Villanova, Penn. 

She served as the chairperson of the Vietnam Veteran’s Support Committee of the Junior Women’s Club of Mount Prospect, Ill., during the Vietnam War. She also served as the president of the Corpus Christi Church Women’s Guild while living in Chatham, N.J.  

She was a loving wife and mother. 

She enjoyed playing bridge and mahjong as well as golfing with her friends at the Rock Ridge Country Club in Newtown, and the Venice Golf and Country Club in Venice.

Six children, Paul, Chris, Geri, Jay, Kelly, Michael, and Sean; daughter-in-laws Rodanthe and Kelly; son-in-law Mike; eight grandchildren; her sister Joan Davis and her brother Sean Walsh survive Mrs Hanrahan. Her husband of 57 years, Paul, and her brother, Michael J. Walsh, Jr, predeceased her.

A memorial service will take place Friday, June 14, at 10 am, at Sts Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church in Easton, Md. Friends may call at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, PA, Easton, Md., Thursday, June 13, from 6 to 8 pm.  Inurnment will be in Oxford Cemetery, Easton, Md.
