DUI Incident

Police report that motorist Erin Ross, 39, of Hamden was driving a 2000 Subaru Legacy Outback southward near 89 Taunton Hill Road about 12:30 pm August 28, when the vehicle went off the right road shoulder and struck a mailbox. Ross was not injured, police said.

After investigating, police charged her with driving under the influence and with making a restricted turn.

After posting $100 bail, police released Ross for a September 13 court appearance.
