Pay Increases

To the Editor:

Thank you Larry Richardson and Warren Hoppmeyer for your insight about the BOE budget for next year [Letter Hive, “No New Taxes” and “Unrealistic Expectations,” respectively, 2/3/12]. I agree with the position of no new unnecessary taxes. I for one would like to know what exactly is in the budget request for administrative salaries?

Janet Robinson needs to get a clue, and I hope she realizes that while some people manage to give themselves pay increases, the majority of people do not.

The food pantry’s shelves are in need of donations because of the high number of residents who have lost their jobs and can’t feed their families — and let’s not forget she and her board are responsible for the owner-operator bus drivers losing their jobs next year too.
