Robert âBobâ W. Nolte, 69, of New Fairfield, died August 7, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born July 14, 1943, in Yonkers, N.Y., the son of Elizabeth (Lang) and John H. Nolte. He was the husband of Joan H. (Nelson) Nolte.
Early in his life, Mr Nolte was an accomplished accordionist, performing on the Ed Sullivan Show, and throughout the greater New York metropolitan area.
He was employed by Stop & Shop Supermarkets and affiliated stores in both Connecticut and New York in various capacities for more than 50 years, most recently at its New Fairfield store. He enjoyed sharing special times with his family, sports, and fishing.
In addition to his wife Joan, his daughter, Michelle Lynn DeLuca, and her husband Joseph, of Sandy Hook and his son, Robert J. Nolte, and his wife Anne, of Oxford survive Mr Nolte.
The family will receive friends at a memorial gathering Friday, August 10, in the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, from 5 to 8 pm. A prayer service will take place at 7:30 pm.
