Lego® Railway Exhibit

At Danbury Railway Museum

DANBURY — The Danbury Railway Museum is pleased to announce a new exhibit, “The Connecticut and Vermont LEGO® Railway,” an operating model train layout made entirely of Legos. The exhibit is on view until May 23.

The popular traveling exhibit was created by Bill Probert, Elroy Davis and Steve Doerner, members of the New England Lego Users Group (NELUG).

Admission to this special exhibit — which includes regular admission to the museum and its other exhibits — is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $5 for children ages 3-13; members and ages 3 and under are free. Museum hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm; and Sundays, noon to 4 pm. Train rides are available on weekends for a separate extra cost.

Upcoming events at the museum include a celebration of National Train Day on Saturday, May 8, with free train rides for all. Also included will be rides on a track car, children’s activities, coupling/uncoupling demonstrations, an operating New Haven RR forge, and “hit and miss” engines.

On Sunday, May 9, the museum will honor all mothers with free train rides with a paid child’s admission.

The Danbury Railway Museum is a non-profit organization, staffed solely by volunteers, and is dedicated to the preservation of, and education about, railroad history.

The museum is in the restored 1903 Danbury Station and rail yard at 120 White Street. For further information, visit DanburyRail.org, send email to info@danburyrail.org, or call 203-778-8337.
