Due to a winter storm that is expected to arrive in Newtown by early Tuesday, CT Woolcrafters has decided to postponed this month’s meeting for one week.

Group founder Nancy Gould contacted told The Newtown Bee on Monday with the announcement. Instead of February 12, the group will  convene on Tuesday, February 19. It will still meet from 10 am until 1 pm in the lower meeting room of the library, 25 Main Street.

[naviga:u]The recently formed group[/naviga:u] is open to knitters, crocheters, spinners, felt makers and needle felters, dyers, weavers, embroiderers, rug hookers, and anyone who is into fiber arts, yarn, and textiles. Coordinated by Ms Gould, it is her hope that the group will become a community of crafty friends who will have fun and cultivate their knowledge of fiber arts and the crafting community.

Newcomers will always be welcome. For additional information contact the library at 203-426-4533 or Ms Gould at [naviga:u]CTwoolcrafters@gmail.com[/naviga:u].

Additional Schedule Changes Expected

Local businesses, organizations, etc that need to announce cancellations, delays, postponements, etc, are invited to contact Newtown Bee Associate Editor Shannon Hicks at [naviga:u]shannon@thebee.com [/naviga:u]to share that information.

Notices will be added to this story as they arrive, and will also be posted on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
