Get Informed And Vote

To The Editor:

When only 21 percent of the eligible voters of the town turn out to vote on our budget referendum, it brings tears to my eyes and it also makes me angry. Why, as a community, are we so indifferent, apathetic, detached, and incurious?

In a democratic society, it is our civic duty and privilege to vote! So citizens get informed and vote as your conscience dictates in the next referendum. Yes, I was one of the 21 percent who voted on April 27 and one of the 183 who responded to The Bee’s budget survey and one who will vote on May 18.
