Mother And Grandmother

Dianne Merly Ryan, 61, of Fairfield, died December 5 at Norwalk Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeport on November 3, 1946, she was a daughter of Antoinette Fiorenzio Merly of Trumbull and the late Joseph Merly.

In addition to her mother, survivors include a son, Fred Ryan and his wife, Elizabeth, of Newtown; a daughter, Deana Wellington and her husband, Chad, of Beacon Falls; a brother, James Merly and his wife, Kimberly, of Fairfield; two sisters, Joanne Copida and her husband, Roderick, Jr, of Milford and Doris Albanese and her husband, Louis, of Shelton; two grandchildren, Haley and Katie Ryan; many nieces and nephews; her dear friend Kelly Grasso; and many other devoted friends.

Mrs Ryan was employed at Home Depot for 16 years and had previously worked at Bryant Electric. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff and to Dr Richard Zelkowitz at the Whittingham Cancer Center for their compassion and care.

Funeral services took place December 11 in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull, and in Holy Family Church, Fairfield, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment followed in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
