Retired United States Air Force Lt Col Robert J. McMahon, 72, of Bellevue, Neb., died December 3. He was born December 5, 1934, in Sandy Hook.

Lt Col McMahon is survived by his wife, Patricia; his mother, Anna McMahon, of Sandy Hook; three sons, Robert J., Jr, of Bellevue, Michael and his wife, Michelle, of Omaha, and Timothy and his wife, Stephany, of Queen Creek, Ariz.; a brother, Brian and his wife, Janine; four granddaughters, Elizabeth (“Libby”), Kira, Kayla, and Lauren; and nieces and nephews Bob, Bill, Megan, Kelly, Jason, Terry, and Darren. Lt Col McMahon was predeceased by his father, John Robert McMahon; two sisters, Patricia and Kathleen “Cappy”; a brother, John; and a nephew, Patrick.

Visitation hours are scheduled for Friday, December 7, from 6 to 8 pm, in the Bellevue Memorial Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 8, at 11 am, in the Capehart Chapel, Bellevue. Inurnment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
