Newtown Roll-Off Service 14, Ridgefield 2 – Dylan Clark pitched well and also doubled to lead Newtown Roll-Off to the win. Bob Lapple, Andy Kirner and Tim Larsen collected two hits apiece.

American

Bob Tendler Real Estate 5, AERCO 1 – Casey Tenney and George Zaruba led the Tendler attack in a well-played game. Robbie Blanc, Zack Dlouhy, Casey Tenney, Tucker Schmidt and George Zaruba combined for 14 strikeouts in the win. Spencer Gregoire pitched two solid innings and Peter Young had a hit for Aerco.

Bob Tendler Real Estate 14, Attorney Kerler 4 – Brian Grimes led the 15-hit attack with a double and two singles. Robbie Blanc and George Zaruba combined for five hits and five RBI while Tucker Schmidt and Andrew LaMarche contributed important hits. For Kerler, Kyle O’Connor had a homerun and a double.

Bob Tendler Real Estate 5, Gruce Tile 3 – Casey Tenney had two hits while Brian Grimes, Andrew LaMarche, George Zaruba, Robbie Blanc and Zach Dlouhy each contributed hits in the win. For Gruce Tile, Kyle Kromberg, Adam Schankman, Scott Kim and Kevin Carrey contributed hits.

National

Newtown Police Union 8, Bombers 6 – Solid pitching by Stephen Clark, Michael Shannon, Bryan Czel and Erik Hoffmen led the Police Union to the win. The Bombers had solid pitching by Grant Braun and fine plate appearances by Ryan Schmidt and Kyle Harrington (three walks).

Bombers 11, Savings Bank of Danbury 1 – Steven Braun and Ryan Schmidt combined for seven strikeouts to lead the Bombers in the win. Cody Williams led the offense by getting on base three times. For Savings Bank, Michael Herring and Robert Carrol powered the offense while Derek Krewson – with a throw from center field to get the runner at home – anchored the D.

AAA

Have Fun, Inc. 6, Union Savings Bank 5 – Jack Kneisel pitched two great innings with Jason Marks behind the plate as Ryan Dunnigan and Colin Cooper each had key hits to lead Have Fun to a hard fought win. For Union Savings, Jake Tolson had two hits (including a double), two runs scored and a strong defensive game. Anthony Maki contributed with a long double and a run scored as Mark Agugliaro reached base on all three at bats and scored a run and Ryan Cassidy made a great catch on a hard line drive at pitchers mound.

Newtown Hardware 7, Lindin Consulting 2 – Ian Kirner whiffed two batters and recorded an assist all in the same inning to lead Lindin Consulting. Cole Baldino recorded three putouts and Sean Fahey and Brandon Ziman led the offense for Linden Consulting.

Lindin Consulting 4, Union Savings Bank 2 – Louis Fenaroli’s double in the top of the fifth broke a 2-2 tie, scoring Ian Kirner and leading Lindin Consulting to the win. Kyle Wilcox added an RBI in the top of the sixth for some insurance while Ryan Tita pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the sixth to secure the win. For Union Savings, Andrew Johnson and Jimmy Mooney led the defense while Luke Shearin and Richard Sandler had strong performances.

BlindsGuys 4, Newtown Hardware 1 – Solid pitching by William Arndt ensured the BlindsGuys win. Arndt, Timmy Wilder, Sean Ross, and Kyler Harmeling combined for 13 strikeouts. Sean Ross added a triple for the offense.

Hurricanes 10, Have Fun, Inc. 6 – The Hurricanes got out early with both solid defense and clutch hitting to win their first game of the season. Tenney, Blanc, Bloom, and Burson pitched well, combining for 10 strikeouts. Morrison scored two runs to propel the offensive attack. For Have Fun, Steven Ibanez pitched very well and Dan Snyder made a great defensive play. Ryan Dunnigan added a long shot to right field for the offense.

Union Savings Bank 11, Enterprise Electric 4 – Ryan Powers and Ryan Cassidy had three hits each to lead Union Savings to the win. Jake Tolson added two hits and Gregory Frattaroli had a big day, pitching two scoreless innings and starting off a double play to stop a rally.

Enterprise Electric 11, BlindsGuys 1 – Austin Bonadio, Collin Morris, Daniel Aurelia, and Riley Wurtz combined on a two-hitter while Michael Cascone started a seven-run rally in the second inning with the help of Wurtz’s three-run triple to lead Enterprise. For BlindsGuys, Jacob Leighton had a key defensive play and Michael Gregario stopped a ball from going into the outfield. Sean Ross’ triple put the BlindsGuys on the board.

Minors

TR Paul 9, The Newtown Bee 4 – Stefan Hennessey banged out two hits and scored twice to lead TR Paul to the win. Danny Poeltl pitched two scoreless innings and Austin Quinn was solid in the field. For The Bee, Gary Braun singled and doubled, Pat Mullins pitched a scoreless third, and Billy Whittington was great in the field.

Lee J. Demers, Builder 11, Base Technologies 7 – Mike Koch, Dean Demers and Pat Capozziello pitched well to lead the Icebreakers to the win. Nick Sajovic and Matt Rahtelli keyed the defense. For Base Technologies, Joe Davis and Mike Newman had key hits while Chris Otero and Nick Shannon played solid defense.
