On Saturday, October 17, Newtown Congregational Church will conduct its third annual shrimp boil. The fundraiser for Back Bay Mission in Biloxi, Miss., is open to the public.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $12 for guests ages 12 and under, or $150 for a table of eight, and cover a full boiled shrimp and Andouille sausage or BBQ chicken dinner with sides, desserts, and soft drinks. Guests will feel as if they are down on the Gulf as piles of shrimp shells grow on newspaper-covered tables and conversation fills the room.

A program about Back Bay will be presented at 6 pm, and then dinner will be served at 6:30. NCC has been an active sponsor and participant of Back Bay Mission and its work for a number of years.
