Fore! … Rock Ridge Crowns Golf Champs

A field of 22 competed in Rock Ridge Country Club’s first Men’s 1 Day Member/Guest Tournament of the season this past weekend. Frank Gavel and Greg Brauneisen led the pack with a 73 to win low gross honors in a scorecard playoff. Second place was awarded to former eight-time club champion Brian Burke, and his guest Fred Roy, who also posted a 73.

John O’Connor and his son, Ryan O’Connor set the bar high early, posting an 8 under 62 to win low net. A valiant effort was given by the rest of the field, including two tied at a 6 under 64. Runner-up by a scorecard playoff was John Dubraski and his guest, Steve Sharlow over Michael Riccio and his guest Dom Perno.
