Basketball teams for AAU tournaments are forming now for girls in sixth grade and boys in fifth grade. Tryouts will be held at the Newtown Middle School A gymnasium March 23, 25, and 27 from 6 to 8 pm. Participants must be registered with AAU ($16) to try out, and there are no additional tryout fees.

Cost to play is $500 per player. Fees are determined by cost of uniforms, tournament fees, practice gym, AAU club registration, AAU insurance rider, and equipment.

All participants must be registered through aausports.org (with extended benefits) for insurance purposes.
