Afternoon Concert At An Indoor Arbor

BROOKFIELD CENTER — The Chamber Singers, an a cappella group of 20 voices from Connecticut Choral Society, will perform at Brookfield Library on Sunday, December 5, at 3 pm. The program is part of the library’s ongoing “Afternoons at The Arbor” concert series, which moves indoors during the winter months.

Founded in 1988, The Chamber Singers perform music in a variety of styles including madrigals, spirituals, folk songs, and popular and seasonal favorites. The holiday concert will include both the familiar and the unusual, including carols from Spain, France and a West Indian spiritual.

The group is under the direction of Bonnie Stephens.

Admission is free and a reception will follow the concert. The library is at 182 Whisconier Road (Route 25) in Brookfield Center. Call 775-6241 for additional information.
