John P. Rohmer
John P. Rohmer, 59, husband of Maureen (Rafferty) Rohmer, of 27 Main Street, Newtown, died August 25 in Northern Westchester Hospital, Mt Kisco, N.Y.
He was born in Mt Kisco, N.Y., July 3, 1942, a son of Dr Edward F. Rohmer of Pocasset, Mass., and the late Agnes (McCarthy) Rohmer. Mr Rohmer was a graduate of Fairfield University, Class of 1964. He was director of advertising for North American Phillips Company, and the owner of the Connecticut Computer Graphics Company in Sandy Hook.
Mr Rohmer was a resident of Newtown for 16 years. He was an active member of the Newtown Historical Society, a member of the Newtown Country Club, and avid fly fisherman, and was well known as a barbecue chef.
Besides his wife and father, he is survived by two daughters, Eileen Rohmer of Greenwich and Meghan Rohmer of Mt Kisco; and one brother, Paul Rohmer of Scotia, N.Y.
Funeral services were held August 28 from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, and at St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in St Rose Cemetery.
