NHS Yearbook Family Portrait Fundraiser Scheduled

The second date for a Family Portrait Fundraiser to support the Newtown High School Yearbook is set for October 27.

Yearbooks are available to order at www.jostensyearbooks.com and will be given out to students at the end of the school year. For more information about personal ads and business ads to be published in the yearbook, e-mail yearbook@newtown.k12.ct.us.

Regarding the Family Portrait Fundraiser, “This is a great opportunity for the town to participate in a great fundraiser and a family activity,” said NHS computer technology teacher Kristin Violette.

The fundraiser also had an event on October 7. Attendees who register in advance for the October 27 event will have their photos taken by photographer Cynthia McIntyre.

Each photography session is $50, and all of the proceeds will be donated to the NHS Yearbook .

The photos will be taken outside and the portrait session will include eventgoers getting a DVD video of their favorite images set to music.
