South Main Street
Motorist Gamaliel Bones, 23, of Bridgeport was driving a 2003 Acura sedan southward on South Main Street about 12:38 pm on February 6, when Bones stopped for traffic conditions and was struck from behind by southbound motorist Marilyn Rennagel, 67, of 159 Currituck Road, who was driving a 2004 Toyota station wagon, police report. The Acura then struck a snowbank near 151 South Main Street.
Ambulance volunteers transported Bones to Danbury Hospital, police said. Police said they issued Rennagel an infraction for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Rear-Ender
A two-vehicle accident occurred on Sugar Street about 12:46 pm February 6, according to police.
Motorist James Canzio, 48, of 5 Todds Road, who was driving a 1994 Cadillac Seville sedan westward on Sugar Street, stopped in preparing to make a left turn into the driveway at 55 Sugar Street, police said.
Westbound motorist John Kortze, 44, of 52 Cobblers Mill Road, who was driving a 2001 Toyota Tundra pickup truck, then struck the rear end of the Cadillac, police said.
A passenger in the Cadillac, Bonnie Canzio, 52, of 5 Todds Road reported back pain and was transported by ambulance volunteers to Danbury Hospital, police said.
Police said they issued Kortze an infraction for following too closely.

Philo Curtis Road
Police report that Mark Purcell, 48, of 17 Bennetts Bridge Road was driving a town-owned 2000 Chevrolet Astrovan minivan northward near 49 Philo Curtis Road about 8 am January 26, as an unknown vehicle was being driven southward there.
Due to narrowed roadways caused by the presence of snowbanks, the two vehiclesâ left exterior rear-view mirrors collided as they passed one another, police said.
It is believed that the driver of the unknown vehicle was unaware that the vehicles had made contact, and thus drove onward, police said.
There were no injuries. Police took no enforcement.

Slippery Roads
About 8:20 am on January 25, motorist Allison Jones, 17, of Mountain Laurel Lane was driving a 2001 Honda CRV westward on Paugussett Road, as motorist Karen Omasta, 58, of Crown View Drive was driving a 2002 Jeep Liberty eastward there, police said.
While negotiating a curve in the road, the Honda slid on snow and made contact wit the Jeep, police said.
There were no injuries. Police said they gave Jones a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
Pickup Vs Bus
Police report an accident involving a school bus and an unknown pickup truck driver about 7:30 am on February 4 near 20 Pole Bridge Road.
The school bus carried no passengers. There were no injuries.
The school bus driven by William Belward, 56, of 3 Lazy Brook Road was traveling eastward on Pole Bridge Road, as the full-size pickup truck was traveling westward, police said.
As the two vehicles passed one another, they made contact, police said. Following the impact, the pickup truck continued traveling westward, according to police.
The width of the roadway was reduced by the presence of snowbanks, police said.
Reading Glasses
Police report that on January 30, a pair of Foster Grant reading glasses was found in the front parking lot at the police station at 3 Main Street. The owner may claim the eyeglasses by contacting police at 203-426-5841.
Interfering
Police report that they were called to Nutmeg Lane on February 1 because a parked vehicle there was blocking the flow of traffic.
Police said that during their investigation, Robert Mitchell, 48, of 11 Nutmeg Lane became uncooperative and combative, after which they charged him with interfering with police.
Police released Mitchell on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on February 15.

Intersection Crash
Police report a two-vehicle accident on Church Hill Road near its intersection with Main Street about 5 pm February 4.
Motorist Lindsay Morrow, 29, of Danbury, who was driving a 2005 Toyota Solara, stopped for traffic conditions on westbound Church Hill Road, police said.
A westbound noncontact vehicle, which was in front of the Toyota, then moved forward, after which a westbound 1999 Plymouth Breeze driven by Mary Dyer, 40, of 2 Old Castle Hill Road, which was behind the Toyota, moved forward, striking the rear end of the Toyota, police said.
There were no injuries. Dyer left the scene of the accident, police said.
Police said they investigated and then contacted Dyer, who then turned herself over to police. Police said they charged her with evading responsibility and with failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Dyer was released on $50 bail for a February 18 court appearance, according to police.
Littering
On January 31, police responded to a complaint concerning someone having dumped two bags of garbage on North Ridge Drive in Hawleyville on January 28.
Police said their investigation determined that Matthew Kozak, 23, of Brookfield was responsible for that incident. Police said they charged Kozak with littering. The infraction carries a $219 fine and is appealable in court.
Button Shop
Police report a two-car head-on collision in the area near the sand and gravel quarry on Button Shop Road about 10:30 am February 5.
A 1997 Audi A-4 driven by Thomas Mapes, 45, of 82 Toddy Hill Road was heading westward on Button Shop Road, as a 2008 Ford Escape driven by Jennifer Wilson, 29, of 149 Toddy Hill Road was heading eastward, police said.
On a curve in the road, the vehicles collided, police said. Both drivers were injured and both were transported by ambulance volunteers to the hospital for medical care, police said. Botsford firefighters responded to the accident. The accident is under investigation, police said.
Warrants
Police said they arrested a local woman on the night of February 7 on three warrants stemming from past incidents that occurred in Norwalk and Bridgeport.
Police said they charged Atid Fadwa, 25, of 14 Sugar Street on seven charges including failure to appear in court, disorderly conduct, assault, and violations of the conditions of release.
Fadwa was scheduled to be arraigned in court on the charges on February 8, police said.
Rollover Accident
Motorist Antonio Morales III, 33, of Brookfield was driving a 2009 Volvo S-40 sedan northward on Hawleyville Road at its intersection with Currituck Road about 6:12 am January 30, when the vehicleâs right tires struck a snowbank, police said.
That impact caused the Volvo to cross the intersection and strike another snowbank, after which it went airborne and rolled over, landing on its roof, police said.
Police said ambulance volunteers treated Morales at the scene. Police said they issued Morales an infraction for making a restricted turn.

Burglary/Larceny
Police report that they responded to a burglar alarm at 12:57 am on January 31 originating from the Hawleyville Deli on Hawleyville Road.
 After they arrived, police found that entry into the building had been made by forcing open the front door of the business.
An undetermined amount of items were stolen in the incident, police said.
Police ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them at the police station at 203-426-5841. Information provided would be kept confidential, police said.
Shoplifting
After receiving a shoplifting complaint, police responded to the Big Y supermarket at Newtown Shopping Village at 6 Queen Street about 7:21 pm January 31.
Following an investigation, police charged John Fernandez, 18, of Danbury with sixth-degree larceny and with conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.
Police said they held Fernandez on $500 bail for a February 1 arraignment in Danbury Superior Court.
MV Violations
Police said they saw motorist David Butler, 53, of Oxford using a handheld cellphone while driving northward on Hawleyville Road about 4 pm January 31, so they stopped him to investigate.
Police charged Butler with illegal use of a handheld cellphone while driving, misuse of marker plates, and driving without automotive insurance.
Police released Butler on a written promise to appear in court on February 15.
