Tom Wyatt went 4-for-4 and belted a two-run homer to lead Hurd Construction to a 16-1 win over Porco Construction in Men’s Sunday Slo-Pitch Softball League action.

Mark Frakken added a two run dinger as well as driving in four runs with three hits. Mike Lancaster, Mike Clyne and Bob McHugh all collected three hits apiece while Bill Girard and Jack Huray stymied the Porco bats.

In Weeknite Slo-Pitch action –

Defending champion Kellogg Hardwood opened with a 26-14 win over 100 Church Hill as Chris Kachur collected five hits. The league lost one team, but welcomed in My Place Pizza and Cross Hill Sanitation to join Newtown Exxon, BlindsGuys, 100 Church Hill, American, Fireside Inn, O’Grady-Miller Construction and Kellogg.

Exxon defeated Cross Hill, 19-17, as Dave Samoskevich belted a pair of home runs and Keith Brown went 5-for-5. For Cross Hill, Fred had four hits and four runs scored. Fireside defeated American, 7-1, as Jim R collected a pair of hits and scored two runs.

100 Church Hill slipped past American, 8-6, as Al banged out a pair of hits. For American, Dave homered. O’Grady-Miller Construction defeated BlindsGuys, 15-13, as Tee O’Grady had three hits and slugged a home run. Craig Harmeling had four hits and three runs scored for the ‘Guys.

My Place Pizza hammered O’Grady-Miller, 38-6, as Rich Chirella went 6-for-6 with five runs scored and TK went 6-for-6 with six runs scored. Brian Maciolek had two hits for OMC.
